First prize, International Competition for the new GNPC Building in ACCRA

ARCHITECTURE: AN ITALIAN TEAM WINS THE COMPETITION FOR THE NEW GHANA NATIONAL PETROLEUM CORPORATION IN ACCRA.
THE PROJECT COST IS ESTIMATED IN 80 MILLION EURO.

Today in Accra, Ghana, BICUADRO was awarded with the first prize in the international architectural competition for the design of the new headquarters of the “Ghana National Petroleum Company” (GNPC), The project was developed totally by an Italian team, including engineers and consultants.
The teamwork including was accomplished by the consortium of italian firms BICUADRO ARCHITECTURE, OCRA STUDIO, 3+1 ARCHITECTS, SBG & Partner, Hydroingea with the coordination of S. Farcomeni.
The building, whose construction’s cost is estimated in 80 million Euro, will be one of the largest company’s headqarters in the Ghana capital city and is part of a framework of expansion and infrastructure’s modernization of the entire country, happening recently together with the actual economic growth.

The project will be presented in Italy by the whole team at the upcoming inauguration of BICUADRO FACTORY, new headquarter of BICUADRO in Rome.
